Although Xerces isn't really known for making maps, he really should make more, because this is the most creative little mine jumper ever. The brilliant combination of thwumps and mines just blows my mind-the thwumps force you to adjust to their speed, which, in turn, forces you to stay quick on your feet. Together, the mines and the thwumps make the game play wickedly exciting. For this, Xerces, I give you an actual, well deserved,

Nice ideas, but not implemented in a way that makes the level itself great.
It's a messy first draft of a cool concept, imo.

hi Xerces, about NReality demos:
First of all, say that I do not use NReality, always I play in v1.4 and under Ned. But I know how it works perfectly and I can explain NReality.
NReality goes far beyond. It has an integrated demos system for each game mode, in difference to Nv1.4. But it is you who should control it. In NReality you have the possibility to choose the game mode, Speedrun, Highscore or Underclock, and this is selected from the Configure menu. This means that depending on which game mode you're playing at all times, the values for the faster demo change. In Speedrun mode, which determines the score are frames, ie the best demo will always be better with fewer frames. And in Highscore mode, which determines the final score is the cumulative time, ie, the best demo will be the one with the longest time, as in Nv1.4.
Then when you want to play a map for Speed, you must put that game mode in Configure, and the leaderboard will only Speedruns, and what matters are the frames and does not take into account the golds. And vice versa for Highscore. So if you by confusion, you're playing in Highscore mode, and your demo was previously a Speed, and you get a high score, this probably take its place as what prevails is the maximum time accumulated. understand? And if you get your demo better than the last, always going to the previous rule.
Summarizing, in NReality exists leaderboards for both, Speedrun and Highscore, but you must change the gameplay mode, depending on what you want do.
Also, I'm missing your wonderful runs and ying-yang criticism on my last maps... :(.. :P

Great little puzzle.
Nice aesthetics, the objects are well placed and the concept overall is very well executed. 4/5

I couldn't agree more. :)
I'm not argumentative by nature either, and I do apologise that this was our first proper encounter with each other. Yesterday it dawned on me how unnecessarily large it had all drawn out, which in fairness was considerably more my fault than your own (although I'm glad you've understood my points through doing so), and I vowed that I'd sort this out today if it hadn't already been resolved, so it pleases me that you were the 'bigger man' in having done so first ^^ I'm actually pretty chilled and easy-going normally, it's just that if I have something to say, I don't see the point in not doing so. Perhaps if we're both around in the future we could collab to compensate for this? In any case, you should definitely hop on the forums or IRC if you haven't done so already. :)
Just for trivia, I've been around here for around 5 and a half years, so I don't usually say anything in vain. And sure, I'll play out some of your maps - only constructive criticism, okay? :P I'll play this after I get back from college - glad that we've sorted this out :)

About NReality
NReality is an expansion that was released on 2007. It includes protection against cheating and hacking, includes 100 more episodes (500 more levels), 2 new playing modes (SPEEDRUN and underclock), thousands of mods, new enemies, etc.
You can load NUMA maps directly by typing the map number, and each map has its own Top20 leaderboard. Thats the main reason I was telling you to use it, because I see you play a lot of maps, and I think you'd like to highscore/speedrun them properly ;)
This is the official website, last version is v6g2:
http://n.infunity.com/
There you will find a bunch of leaderboards the keep informed about everything, 0th rankings, top20 rankings, etc.
Direct download link: http://n.infunity.com/downloads/NReality6g2.zip
An example of leaderboards, the 0th Rankings, which includes all 1000 levels: http://n.infunity.com/playerLv0.php
Hope you enjoy, most active players use it nowadays since 2007 ;)

Well it is up to you.
But for me, 5/5's are for flawless maps (as it says next to the 5), and those are very rare.
2012-08-31
Giving feedback is great!
It is what the community needs more of. It just that the rating 5/5 is supposed to be reserved for perfect maps, the best of the best. Maybe I'm just being old-school/fussy but NUMA has always had hyper-inflated voting, and handing out 5's left and right just exacerbates that.

I like your "yin and yang" rating style
:D

Hey Xerces!
I have no deleted them, just rose (a moderator) have delisted it because them all just spammed the Hot Page. Sorry.
2012-08-13
thanks for plaing ;)
but, isn't a 5/5 as always you made? ... sniff, sniff, sniff.. :P
2012-08-10
And I mean,
they have enough difficulty.. that's mean you make really hard ones.
2012-08-10
Ok,
I'll take your maps soon and compete with you (soon as they have enough difficulty to take them up now and try to beat your score), but..
You want to publish a map?
Want to make a collab with me?
;)
I can do some tiles..

Pretty Snazzy
The crossover-thwump area was quite nicely done. The rest is a little fluffier but still good. 8/10
Beat this one (should be easy for you):
