you would be offending me as well, if i had seen your swearing. i don't like it when people swear. and there are probably other like me that think that same thing, but just don't speak up about it. swearing may give you power to some, but some people just think less of you because you swear. this community is not "going down the crap shoot"; we're just trying to keep this place open, so that anyone can join. does that seem unreasonable?

I'm glad you've toned down your swearing. The one thing I'd like to point out is that as a moderator of this site I'm supposed to do my job of keeping this place safe viewing for all ages. You've seen the announcement on the front page about profanity and such, I was just asking you to tone it down. It's nothing personal, as I'd ask the same of anybody who were in the same position as you.
When I said that it was directly offensive to me I guess I was trying to make it more personal than it should have been and maybe that was uncalled for.
As for the link, I'm sure you already knew ways to express yourself differently, that was just me using my moderator status to be a dick. It was in no way meant to be an insult to your intelligence. I would apologize but I'm not really sorry and it's the internet. You either get over it or you don't.

Please tone down the swearing. Comments like yours are automatically flagged by the system and show up in the Moderation Queue multiple times per week. The way in which you're using profanity isn't abusive, but it could be used less often.
