Absolutely massive issue for you this week. Firstly, there were more good maps in one week than I've seen in a long, long time. Secondly, a heralded return of Nterviewed for you, compered by community-favourite Kablizzy, and featuring that long sought-after Nterview with Dave! Thirdly, friendly NUMA-admin maestro will set up a couple new gimmicks in The Sunday N's system. And lastly, but not leastly, a new segment is heading your way, entitled Artist Commentary of the Third Kind, whose first instalment is brought to you by one Yahoozy. Enjoy!

The Daily Rundown
April 22nd to April 28th

April 22nd

I found this to be staggeredly orgasmic. How aboot you?

I didn't really expect this to be anything special until I played it. Seriously, try it out. You may giggle.

This one's mine patterns were influenced by me. I feel ultra-special. ^-^

Now this. This is something I'd never seen before. It even took me a couple of minutes to work it out. Fantastic innovation.

Choose your path. Or die.

April 23rd

This fellow just felt so good. I just want to hit that, over and over, and over a little more.

Man. One might say I'm a sucker for linearity.

As again exemplified through this. Amazingly open, yet lovelily closed.

April 25th

I was told the flower was for me. How pretty.

You wanted innovations. Somehow, the community unbeknowingly responded!

Seriously, guys, the innovation just keeps on coming. As do I, over the greatness of these maps.

Wow. I can't believe he ever finished it. The original unfinished version was in my favourites, and so is this one. King of Mine-Jumpers.

April 28th

I didn't really find it boring.

Fantastic use of a tileset. Usually, everyone uses a tileset as a gimmick. This one's been done well!

Mr Stro's been a busy bee!

And as en extra interesting tidbit, the amount of votes I've cast counts for approximate four and a half per cent of all the votes on NUMA.

Artist Commentary of the Third Kind

I suppose it would be pertinent for me to explain the purpose and limitations of this new addition, so I shall.

The general premise is for an author to take ten of their maps (from NUMA or level packs) and provide a short explanation of say, why they like the map, a cool story behind the map (or anything to do with the map): basically whatever they find most interesting about these maps. Of course, this means authors are encouraged to either choose their favourite maps or ones with a particularly intriguing back story, but I will place no limitation on which maps are chosen. Without further ado, here's Yahoozy's Commentary!

The Maps Discussed

Arctic Below: Not necessarily my favourite, but what seems to be my most successful. Unfortunately, I have a feeling this started the ‘bounceblock bridge’ fad. It’s a blast to play, nonetheless.

Barren: Here is my first and only successful attempt at an immoderately open map. Before mentioning it now, the last time I played it was proximately around the time I unleashed it. I still find it quite fun.

blue.: This is the earliest of all the maps I’m mentioning. I really like it. The end.

City Level: The way you maneuver through this map is something I truly venerate. The in-and-out movements are great, and making it your choice to do so creates another whole level of game play.

Deep Sea Diver: Extreme Sweep-age! Plus, it's named after a good song. Good song? Good map? WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!

Ice est Miroir-esque: Some cool peeps be like, “Dude, this is cool.” Then I be like, “A’ight, man. You cool.” And guess what? They are. MAYBE YOU SHOULD BE LIKING THIS MAP

Jaws Theme: My first big accomplishment; a break-through, if you will. This one will always hold I place in my heart. It truly is something I’m still proud of today. As nostalgic and generic as it may seem now, I love it to death.

Rather the Bomb: Making a worthy puzzle has been something I’ve always struggled with, until I was able to make this. Clever? Maybe. Fascist? Quite possibly. GLAYSHUR? lol!!!!!!!!!!

Spirits in the Greenest of Skies: As superfluous as fifty percent of the objects in this map are, I can’t help but love the way it moves. Having to traverse all the way around the map is something I’ve always been fond of.

Venue (Mrs. Luci): This is some of the best object placement I’ve ever done. It all clicks together so well, especially the beginning. I adore it, and so does Tannar. If Tannar adores it, and you don’t, you lose at life.

And now, angry ticks spire out of my nipples.

MUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUU
HHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOO
HHHHHHHHUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOHHHHHHH

That's enough, 'hoozy. Stay tuned, for next week Artist Commentary will focus on my little bunny dumpling, kruschiepoos.
