In my adolescence I would dive beneath the covers and learn secrets of the ocean. I learned how vulnerable love is and how easy one is drowned by it. With each breath I was offered saltwater until I became part of the ocean. Now I explore the Reef, searching for those breaths so callously taken so that my next love is not burdened by the saltwater in my lungs. — origami_alligator

I'm partial to races. It's something worth rallying for, worth the attempt to push one's self further than they would otherwise. There is motivation in the race to go faster, push harder, jump higher. It's proof that dodging bullets is possible. It's proof that leaping buildings is obtainable. It's proof that perfection is achieved when perfection isn't the purpose of it all. Scientists have been researching a blood pathogen for quite some time and this video is proof that the pathogen exists. Interestingly enough, the pathogen is able to deoxygenate red blood cells by entering through the lipid layer. It uses the oxygen to produce sugars which provide it energy to continue on to the next cell. Once it has collected enough oxygen and produced enough sugars, it hides within a red blood cell, where it can then multiply and repeat the process over again. It's strange how saplings can grow into sturdy trees, then slowly decay in an upright position until they fall. Much of this has occurred around the very ground that is stood upon, yet still a few trees remain. The forest in turn has started to thin and the creatures have mostly moved on. Specters are nearly all that remain, their corpses having been defiled not by beast but by machine. You've wandered into their jungle and they blame you for their death, seeing this as an opportunity for revenge. Can you make it out alive? — origami_alligator

This map is a beautiful demonstration of what well used race elements can do to benefit an action map. This isn't only an action map though, it's a surprisingly clever jumping puzzle as well. Capturing nature within N is really difficult to pull off, but creates some really unique and exciting environments. In this map lsudny has actually taken it a step further, and gone for nature rampant and overgrowing civilisation. The resulting atmosphere is spectacular, and the gameplay is no exception to this. — _destiny^-

I haven't the right words to honor Mountain Range; but a map of such elegance & wit assuredly deserves your attention. It's a joy to explore: to work out its mechanics, to tease out the quickest route, and to simply traverse its slopes & passages. Qix is one of the OG authors who doesn't get brought up much in conversation. But many of his maps would fit in on the front page today. For example, this map is eleven years old but it doesn't look a day over two. The three separate sections work together in harmony, and there are very few safe spaces in the map.
