| Description | Okay. So I guess many of you have noticed that I still haunt the hot pages and play your maps from time to time, and I just wanted you to have the other side of my sad story.
To every sad story there's a happy counterpart, and this is it. I've really had trouble getting over this break-up - she really meant the world to me, and even though I'm a guy, and guys don't usually fantasise about this stuff, for a second there, I really thought that this was the girl I was going to marry and spend the rest of my life with. So this has been particularly tough for me to process; now that she isn't mine anymore, I might never see her again. But all of my friends, my parents and her parents have been really supportive and great for me to be around and talk to. For even though I don't talk to her anymore, I still chat with her parents. It sounds like she is busy as ever, and for my part, I am as well. I am starting to realise that perhaps, for now, this was the best decision, as I wouldn't really have had the time to see her. I am currently attending my final year at college, and I have never been busier. Assignments. Assignments everywhere. Me and my band have also made contact with two very kind people, who play in another band in my town, which is really successful - they have just published their debut album and it has been received very well. They have offered us a record deal along with advice on management, booking, being in the studio, gaining contacts and more, which we're going to accept. We're starting this record next month and it will be in the works for a long time, since it will be a side-project to college. At the current moment, I am setting up a play (Sketch Show), which will premiere next Friday. I am the conductor and pianist of the band, which will accompany the satirical sketches happening on stage. Beside all of this, I will, over the next month, prepare a classical performance at my college to bring classical music to people's attention as well. So a quick summary: I'm quite happy as of now, and this map marks the point where I find myself accepting the break-up. Even though I am over her, she will still be a very important chapter in my life, and I will treasure the memories with her forever. (P.S. You can say that I lied about never mapping again, but I really wanted you to know how I am doing, since you got the other, sad part of the story.) |

I'd been with her for 5 years, and she was my first girlfriend of my life. I took the same attitude as you, and i'm getting by okay i guess. The first two months were rough, and the next four marginally easier.
Two years down the line i still have waves of intense depression because she isn't around any more, but i guess that's just life.
