Actually, if you do want your maps to stay in front for a long time, you should work on increasing the quality of your maps. Some hints: putting too many of any given enemy in one spot causes lag and makes the gameplay much more artificial. There's rarely a good reason to put more than 2 gausses or 2 rockets within a few tiles of each other. Similarly, players appreciate object minimalism, that is that every object is there to be either aesthetically pleasing or to enhance the gameplay.
