This map was featured on 2009-04-19

The wonderful gray opens up before you as you approach a place untouched by the trends of the modern day. As the area begins to become alive with deadly things it is easily seen why Annabelle sleeps here; it is tranquil and serene.
The layout of this is why it is one of my favourite maps. One never needs to feel bored because there is always something to do until the end. Additionally, there is never the feeling of being overwhelmed, though it is important to watch drone paths and to maintain good timing. One slip could be your undoing. — origami_alligator

favorited. one of the best pure drone maps I've ever played.

i have applied multiple times for this position, I have at least 3-4 features i can submit immediately, one was even officially approved by atob. It's frustrating knowing I have the ability to improve the timeliness of features; but not actually having the privelledge to do so.

Correction

8 Different reviewers have split 40 reviews between themselves over a period of 9 weeks. In that time, me, lord_day and Pawz combined have reviewed over half of these.

Doesn't seem ideal.

Lately I've been seeing maps featured for way too long. I liked it better when it was almost every day that a new map was featured.

Why are we having week long features? I thought the thread was all organized especially since atob came back. Do we need more reveiwers?

Man...

This reminds me SO much of one other map that was featured a while back that used rockets with this exact kind of tileset.

But I like this one better.

Nice

wide open without feeling empty. Drones are tight. Play is smooth. Looks a little dull though, and gameplay feels a little so-so for it (you know I'm an atmosphere whore, so we'll leave that one where it is...).

Reminds me of stepself. That's a very good thing.
Worked amazingly well, and the gold of course, placement was great.

I thought it was okay, the drones were good. But overall, I felt some parts were incohesive (it may have just been my path). About a 3.5-4.....eh, -> 3.5^ -> 4.

Slightly faster AGD

Much smoother though. Doesn't get much faster with this route.

Life's demo is insane.
Anyway, I liked this a lot. Not only was it multipathed, it was surprisingly flowy and had a really relaxed atmosphere to it. The drone paths were great, always threatening to pounce on you as soon as you made a mistake or got complacent. To cap it all, the gold and the mines were both well placed.
Not only is this my favourite feature ever, it's one of my favourite maps too. A well deserved 5 from me.
Also, I think it's cool that you got two features from two consecutive maps.

Died trying to jump through those mines surrounding the exit door. D:

I like the open feel in the center with the tight corridors at the edges, but the drones seemed pretty ineffective - I rarely had to try to dodge them.

it's amazing how you can create such nice gameplay with some normal zaps and two homings, i could imagine it in a small space as they can be used easily and effectively then, but how you've managed to work the drones into the map efficiently.. wow, it's great fun

here's a slow agd for you :D great work, congratulations on 100, and thanks for not being a tool and not doing an anticlimax ;)
