Featured map for 2015-03-31: 23-3 Think Outside the Triangle by R3D_N1NJ4
Good things come in small packages, and Lopsided Sierpinski Triangle Map here is no exception. It’s kinda cool that each side of the main triangle has its own distinctive play style. But what I really like about Triangle Vomit Map is how much it accomplishes with so little. With just simple tiles and very limited space, it somehow delivers interesting and varied maneuvers, all wrapped in a stylish theme. There’s not enough room to develop these things; instead, the map distills them down to their essence. The only problem with Wannabe Triforce Map is that it’s over all too soon. — Nexx
Featured map for 2015-03-30: Turtle and Human Come Back From the Dead by lfaber
What is it about humans and our morbid curiosity? Our desire to frolic with death overpowers our survivalist instincts, time and time again. For as you know, life is the hardest challenge of all, yet it is often over before you've really gotten a chance to live. (You can't die if you never lived though.) How long will it be until it leads to our downfall? Or has it already begun...
I want to apologize to lfaber for Reviewing this about a year too late. It's really good, and I hope you accept my sincerest apologies. <3

Featured map for 2015-03-30: abc by Wizard2
It's my birthday, so I'm treating myself to this DDA. Nobody has ever come close the quality of Wizard2's DDAs. Not Life247, not Clifty, nobody. Looking back on how DDAs used to be, to how they are now, I'm just overjoyed that I was around for their heyday. Many good DDA makers have come and gone, but Wizard2 has endured the test of time. And while I don't want them to die out, I feel like they could very soon.
Although, DDAs aren't that hard. It's as easy as abc.

Featured map for 2015-03-28: Souvenirs by Saturn
He'd grown up here. Of course, the house had been standing then, but he recognised it immediately anyway. His father had been an architect, and he had designed it himself. The house had stuck out like a sore thumb with its square design, but he had loved it.
His parents had died more than thirty years ago. Since then, it had slowly fallen into disrepair. The stairs had collapsed, as had the floors in various points. Rusty nails jutted out of rotting floorboards.
Any homeliness the house had once had was gone.
Memories and a ruin were all that remained.

Featured map for 2015-03-27: this by Viil
I had the pleasure of collaborating with Viil a couple of times, and although he was never known as a race maker I really wish that he was. He had very unique ideas regarding flow, and the rich atmospheric quality he can always bring to a map really shines in his races.
I think if he had been more dedicated to the genre he would have gone down in history as one of the greatest race authors numa ever had. Alas, perhaps his skill can still be showcased here. To me at least, Viil was a master.

Featured map for 2015-03-26: bonsai by schaaaf
Our lives are much like bonsai trees,
Too much water and constriction
We will wither, wilt and die.
Too much space and too much freedom,
We grow wild and unruly.
But with delicacy and care,
With nurturing and guidance,
We will grow into truly beautiful specimens.
Mapmaking is much like bonsai trees too,
thanks schaaaf!

Featured map for 2015-03-24: Engineered Casualties by timothefreerunner
Seeing this you might ask why I picked an “average symmetrical action map“? Well, because it just works. Everything fits together perfectly and there are so many different routes for you to try out. Are you going to take the easy way and activate no more switches than necessary or are you a true ninja who defies mortal peril, all for that sweet, sweet gold you desire so much? It is up to you, but fun is all but guaranteed either way. This map is so generous! And so you should be, with ratings and comments. It deserves no less. — macrohenry
Featured map for 2015-03-22: Microcosm by tl
A river wild, branching tributaries boring through the land. A section of highway, streets feeding a flow of cars into big, concrete garages and even bigger glass obelisks. An oak tree, skyscraping, branches exploding outward with life. The circulatory system, warm blood flowing through veins & venules, arteries & arterioles & capillaries. Patterns appear and reappear constantly, forever, often quietly. Finding the quietest ones is the most fun. — Yahoozy
Featured map for 2015-03-21: Leviathan by erikcu
The signs had all been there: the oceans boiling, the skies opening and unleashing torrents of rain upon us, earthquakes, tsunamis...
Yet somehow, we had not been able — or maybe just reluctant — to connect the dots. I suppose it was the latter—nobody wanted to acknowledge it.
It's too late now.
A being, older than time, has emerged from the depths; a bringer of primordial chaos, unleashed upon our world in an instant. Cities crumbled to dust. The oceans swallowed everything; washed away by the merciless tide.
The age of humanity has ended.
The Leviathan has risen again.

Featured map for 2015-03-20: Messah by 1211
The minejumper genre is not always the easiest to balance.
However, 1211 has managed here to create a wonderful map. It's fluid in all the right places, as well as being fiendishly long and difficult - yet not undoable. None of the jumps leave you wanting to grind your teeth on a piece of sandpaper, but at the same time are complex enough to make you question the best approach and push you to your limits.
Messah is a exemplary minejumper gauntlet that stands out from the crowd. Have you got what it takes?
