Featured map for 2015-06-02: A1-4 :: Hologram of What You Once Were by apg
The first maps I ever played impressed themselves on my perception as vivid worlds brimming with lush and intriguing atmospheres. All of apg's maps are bizarre trips in their own right, but this one in particular struck me with its enormously deep atmosphere; an eery and inviting stillness, alien and yet strangely and tantalizingly familiar. Had I discovered this map recently, the "trick" would maybe be less perplexing than it was when I did discover it, but it's still very subtle and clever and I whenever I return to this map it's as enjoyable as ever. — Losttortuga
Featured map for 2015-06-01: Admiration by F_B_F_
Ok, admittedly, this map might not be the most creative one in terms of concepts or tiles. Instead, it shows well balanced difficulty, carefully chosen and placed enemies and lovely gold. Perfectly refined gameplay is all a good map like this needs. “Admiration” is not only super fun but also a reminder to focus on the game’s basics from time to time. After all, it's not who does it first, it's who does it best - and this is damn close to perfection. — macrohenry
Featured map for 2015-05-31: lighthouse by APulse
Floorguards – they're tricky little buggers, aren't they? Their name doesn't really do them justice. I mean, yeah, they can guard floors, okay. That's what they are there for, basically. So, realistically, you'd think – ha! Let's take away the floor, that'll teach them! - and they're like nope! Screw you, and the laws of physics too, while we're at it! Oops, there was a wall there? Haha, who cares?
Personally, whenever I see those smug green eyes, fully aware of the floorguard's reality-bending capabilities, I take it as challenge. Bring it on, I say.
Bring. It. On.

Featured map for 2015-05-30: grid by Yoke3000
This map is serious about being fun, and it’s relaxed about being difficult. It isn’t subtle about being beautiful; it’s in-your-face gorgeous.
This visual style is one of my favorites. And Yoke3000 complemented it perfectly using oneways, which break up the challenge of traversing sharp terrain.
The drones are fantastic: 3 drones are surprisingly deadly in such a large space!
The gauss is also well utilized. Be cautious when leaping into the nooks within its reach, and you might escape with some glorious gold.
The Grid is a perfect balance of threats, rewards, and stylish atmosphere.
Enjoy!

Featured map for 2015-05-29: Dazed for Days by Losttortuga
This is the hardest race map you will ever play.
I can't really write a better review than the comment that I left on this map. If you want to know about the experience it gave me then read it over. This map is as intense as it gets, and if you are weak willed you will not survive.
This map will push you, and push you, and yet it will be a rewarding experience. The fact that you almost made it that time will keep you going. And when you finally achieve glory, it will all be worthwhile.

Featured map for 2015-05-27: geode by nnnnoah
We all have that one map that is special to us for personal reasons. Maybe it was a map that inspired us, early on in our own mapping careers. Maybe it was a map that we would not give up on, no matter how many times it killed us.
The latter was true for me and this map. When I first played the userlevels in 2008, I would give up on most maps very quickly. Not this one. I played it again and again. And again.
7 years later, I'm still playing this game.
It was geode that hooked me.

Featured map for 2015-05-27: the last moments of Bruce Willis. by lsudny
24th of June, 3055. Journal of Bruce Willis DVIII.
History will not forget today; the books will include this. Those books won’t be read on Earth, though, for she is burning like summer BBQ right before my eyes. It was fun back when I was a child. Dad used to tell me that my grand-grand-ancestor was a bad-ass man. I wonder how he knew that.
Just five short years ago, I was on Earth. Today, I call the Moon my home. And now the quiet void awaits me, with whatever it holds.
See ya, ball of blue.

Featured map for 2015-05-25: Love Goes On And On by Aidiera
I can’t think of anyone who understands the art of mapping as well as Aidiera does. All the feedback he gives, all the maps he makes demonstrate expertise of the highest caliber. Just look at the structure of this one: The one-ways in combination with the tiles are incredible and make for some really interesting mechanisms. Furthermore, he doesn’t resort to the typical “dodge-the-gauss-and-the-mines” kind of gameplay but he demonstrates a perfect use of seeker drones. This is a map that feels as fresh on the hundredth try as it does on the first. — macrohenry
Featured map for 2015-05-24: A Trip Inside A Separate Mind by mammaletto
Simple maps can be pretty great. It's nice to play a mega-complex one once in a while and get your cerebellum cerebelling, but sometimes you just gotta kickback and hop around a minefield whilst dodging a pesky rocket and listening to, I dunno, dub-jazz fusion or something. (What are the kids into these days? Samba/trap? Polka/house? The ear-piercing cries of cats in heat?)
Anyway, on this lazy Sunday, take a breather, stretch your weary limbs, and take a trip. All expenses paid.*
*Unless you die, wherein you forfeit all monetary gains and must vacate the premises immediately.

Featured map for 2015-05-22: In Sharky Waters by anco
A bit of insight into me: I am an explorer in all things. Whether it's venturing through the woods, playing an RPG, or even N Game; I love anything that will make me feel that sense of adventure.
In this map Anco has delivered that experience. You are placed in an open environment, with multiple choices available to you. There isn't a clearly defined route through the map, and every single route is polished to a gleam.
Shark infested or no, this map is one of the most enjoyable landscapes I've ever navigated in N.
