Some comments: I think the map is overall good because it is his "first" BUT some ideas for next time.

Races are suppose to flow well, and although this map does flow, it's got very rough spots and takes awhile to get use to.

Also there are a few areas you have to be really touch on the keys to get the gold, in (most) races you want to be able to go through most of the level holding down left or right instead of being really touchy on the keys to perfect jumps and lands, this goes back to the "flow" of the map and helps it in the long run.

Regardless that's just some hints or tips from me for future maps, I still rate 3.5/5 (above average)
