Oh yeah, another thing..

I know that sounds harsh, but consider it a constructive suggestion. You only need the mines on the outer edge because the ninja would have died by the time he hit the other mines.
Time put into placing large batches of objects doesn't translate into map effort. Just get some good ideas and put them into an even better map, and you'll do much better. ;)
