rocket - ninja - rocket

the rocket chases the ninja, it is trying to track it. if the ninja is directly behind him (and i mean DIRECTLY) the rocket will go in a straight line because it can't turn around. once when playing an action levl i found this out. but its incredibly hard to do something like this, 5 all the way man, y dont u do a kra&ctr dda? mebbe with clifty...

the rocket has one speed. The ninja however speeds up and slows down.

To no surprise.

And, romaniac, the rocket actually has multiple speeds. The speed just varies. Depending on where the rocket nearly misses N, sometimes it will go further than it really should, sometimes shorter, depending on its velocity. So, technically, there are multiple speeds; sadly, they are near possible to control.

Im making a DDA which also doubles as an action map and uses all types of propulsion

Plus it's not a rip off anyway! Since when did the ninja chase the rocket in my map?

(I might actually try this technique in one of my own maps, if that's OK with romaniac.)

I came back from the weekend and I seriously didnt think it would be this popular.

Okay...

@mc_george: I was going to do that, have both N and the rocket pass through the walls into a second area, but it didnt work out well, it just ruined the flow of it all so i deleted it all and went up.

@Clifty, yeah i know it is a bit short, but it would have taken a few hours for about a few hundred extra frames, any people still would have said it was too short so...

@apg: at the 534 frame point (bottom, left) I managed to get the ninja inside the rocket, the detonation point is just ahead of the rocket I have found, so the back of the rocket is harmless

@fingolfin: I actually dont know :)
