Description | This is my attempt to make a teleporter map I don't hate. |
This map was featured on 2008-06-29
LV describes his work as being held together with paper clips and bubble gum, but 'Break' is anything but flimsy.
The level is set up with no obvious pathways, no glaring flow, just the eager fling of an overenthusiastic teleporter and precarious placement vs /3/ rocket turrets to test even the most aerial adept of ninjas.
The lack of obvious guidelines never frustrates, and the open nature calls for a degree of ingenuity when planning a workable agd route.
The irony of the name isn't lost: Paper clips and bubble gum have never been so solid.

This is a hard map

i might not be an expert
but to make a teleporter you place the launchpad then go to the code and change the first number after the coordinates of the pad to a higher number (i might get them mixed up, but i think that is for an "up" or "down" pad). for a sideways pad you change the second number higher and leave the first one the same. im sorry if i mixed up which ones which, but play around an you'll get the idea. Then, when the teleporter is set up, play the map. it is helpful to do this part in fbf. place a second launchpad exactly where the ninja will be at one of the frames. too high or too low, no matter how little, will not catch the ninja. If you get it right, the ninja will be stopped at the second pad and bounce in the direction it is pointing. Btw, the higher you make the number, the farhter the ninja goes per frame...oh, and one more thing - depending on which way the pad faces, the numbers you modify might have a negative sing in front of them. ignore this. for example, if the number is -1, to make the number "higher" you woul dmake it -3...i hope this makes some sense, ive made a few teleporter maps and they seem to work fine...srry for how much space this takes up...

get the launch pads to be at a wierd angle to allow you to teleport? I have tried many different ways to put them that way. Please reply to soccer_rules_31@hotmail.com

i have never played a teleport map before but i like this.It took me a while to complete it.But nice work.I dont understand HOW you got the teleport to work but it was cool.i'll give this...........................................................................4/5

Cool...
This is the first good teleporter map I've seen. If they were all like this I wouldn't mind them being put in the main game as much.

I agree with Kablizzy. But, I must say, this is the best teleporter map I've ever seen- it actaully seems to "work", which is astounding... 4/5.

Hrm...
Well, I'll say this: It isn't my favorite map of yours. With that said, it's still a great map. Not your best, but a great map. I'd say probably 3/5 or 4/5 on this one, I'll abstain until I play it longer.
