...and either way i'll be happy
i make maps as a creative fun outlet that relieves the stress in my life. I don't beleive art can be wasted like you say, and i'm not interested in seeking some kind of mass critical acclaim. i certainly don't think you can 'waste' talent, and if i have fun doing what i do, who's going to stop me?.
at any rate, thank you for the interesting (if slightly condescending) comments. I thought about what you said all day when i was at work. Maybe in the future you'll see my name on something, maybe you won't. :)

Like it's just a game you know
and you take it so seriously. It's just a shame that almost nobody gets to appreciate how much effort you put into your stuff.

I just always felt like this is just a fun game website and lots of people try all the time to make fun and cool maps but while everyone here is going for like Battlefield 1 2 and 3 you're making like Portal 2 and if you're so serious about combining engaging entertainment with thoughtful and mature storytelling you should really be working on something concrete that you can put your real name on and share with real people who have to be held accountable for their real opinions because they're not hiding behind usernames on a website that barely anybody visits in the first place. Just a waste of your talent man. Always wanted to say that to you.
If you're not like making music or something in the real world with your real life then you're shortchanging yourself and everyone who pays attention to art. Mapping is cool but there's only like a hundred people here at any given time so you're wasting your creative talent if this is all you do to express yourself. Just sayin. You might not be able to tell from my mapmaking game but I really really dig movies and you can expect to see me winning Oscars someday if you look out.
