Even with me being an admin, I still can't do a lot of things that most admins would be able to do on websites. I really can't do much outside of try to help you out by looking through with you.

You could check all the maps made around that time period

and get an approximate number of maps made that day, then go through the maps and see which one is yours.

Of course, the IP linking is assuming you haven't moved over the past few years / when you last logged into your 2006 account and when you made this account.

There's no real way to find your old account without going into the system and looking through your IPs and linking accounts (manually) like that, though I'm not sure if it's even possible. I also am not the person to ask for this since I don't have access to the insides of the website. That is a question for Tempus_Fugit. Sorry.
