i feel like i know exactly what kind of map you tried to make here: a sort of hard, closed in prison-escape type map. trying to compare it to some kind of generic "good map" and demanding open spaces when that would defeat the purpose.

The thumbnail looked pretty good but when you actually get into this map it play really poorly. In future don't put mines in such precarious nooks which are penalising the player for merely falling accidentally. Mines should be used to disadvantage players for more technical reasons.
Corridors and chimneys are a useful structure to incorporate into maps however they work best in isolation and not in such a way that they dominate the players experience. Use big, wide, open spaces intermingled with these tunnels to get a far more enjoyable playing experience.
You've got a couple of good trigger and wait thwump mechanics which is good but due to the small space and annoying mines they really lose their quality.
Overall, a good first attempt, I would rate this at about a 2 (But won't because it would pull it off the front page a lot faster).
