Description | You think you're fast enough?
Drone paths and mechanics. Enjoy! |

One of my favorite perks about N, and specifically N mapping, is replay-ability. Why should you not enjoy a map more than once?
Sure, you might get tired of playing it after a few minutes, but to me that doesn't compare to a map that does not become boring right away.
This fascinating zoas-map is built of simple mechanics, yet it has a great replay-ability factor. Almost every time you play you can find another easier way to beat your previous run, until you finally reach the goal of speed perfection.
Enjoy!

This is another idea of yours
that's been developed about half way and left. It's not a good map, imo, but a collection of ideas that /could/ become one.
If you're having people tell you maps like this are great, good enough to be featured, I would be careful not to get complacent. Personally, I think you've got a way to go before your mapping reaches that kind of standard, and I don't say this with any superior intent.
You have some creative ideas, you need to develop them more. I see you and a few others 5ing each others maps all over NUMA, and most of the time they're far from flawless.
If you want to improve (And, imo, that should be the goal with any art), you really need to start developing your concepts more.
This, for me, would be about 30% done.

sorry,
but I don't see what's so special about this map. the drones hardly seemed to get in my way and the mines weren't too much of a danger as well. on a more positive note, I quite liked the start and the room with the exit-switch. 2.5up

Check this demo
Its as fast as a 1898-AGD, because I beat a bunch of drones. Sadly, you cant use this route to AGD :(

AGD
Some parts were very fun and some parts were a bit annoying in my opinion(for example the beginning, it was uncomfortable to get out of the gauss room...). 3,5^

I played the map, commented, rated (optional), and that's it.

Explain how I'm wrong then.
It is your job to make the map the way you want it to be played. That's one of the fundamental challenges (and sources of fun) of mapmaking. You gotta put in the effort.

You have no idea if he tried an alternative.
It is your responsibility as a mapmaker to force or encourage the player to play a map a certain way if you so desire. If they don't play it the way you want and you allowed that, then you only have yourself to blame.

You have no idea if he put in little effort.
So don't get mad at him for playing this map the way he chose.

What Rose said.
That part of the map was optional.
force it. Use mines, oneways, whatever you want to make sure they do that. But if you allow freedom, expect them to take it. And I'd argue that that freedom is good in a lot of cases! Many great maps have multiple ways to play them and have a good time.
I'd like it more if it was more open so more maneuverability could be possible. The other parts were fun, though. It just needed a bit more spice. 2.5/5^
