Map Data

Description this is quite an action map. 11 chainguns, 10 gauss turrets in all. please tell me if i am spamming or if this looks good. also, sometimes you can stand in front of a chaingun or gauss turret and it won't respond. is that a consequence of having so many enemies?

Bingo. I'm not entirely sure about the inner workings of it, but I think only one enemy can spot you per frame. So if you have 40 enemies, it will take 40 frames for the last one to register that you even exist. 40 frames = 1 second of time, which in an action-oriented game like this is a big deal.

I would say that yeah, this is spamming. Instead of placing new enemies to cover every bit of ground, you might want to try tweaking each enemy's position so that they're as efficient as possible (your "light and dark strokes" map did this pretty well). You'll eliminate any meaningful enemy lag, make your maps more fun and make them look cleaner in one fell swoop.
