I'd never expect something like this on one of my maps. except for my 300th.
And obviously it is difficult to escape from it ..
But that's interesting, and that is what makes each of us unique and different. Each of us has his own perception of beauty, of the forms, how it's interesting and what is not. All segimos unconscious patterns that have worked before, or just unconsciously repeat things that we have felt as comfortable. And obviously, we all try something new or do something different, but always be condemned and marked by our personal style, the way we understand and see, ultimately, the way we play and create, each of us feels more like playing and interacting with something specific, some about jumping, some doing double bounce jumps, or others dodging mines, and other dodging rockets, to generalize. This is what makes our maps have their own style, the way we understand and enjoy the game.
I always try to have fresh ideas and doing something new, or at least something that I have not done before. But my essence is always there, whatever it is, good or bad.
And yes, I like discussions, and read other people's opinion, is the best way to learn.

many of them. some of us know other authors better then others. just those came up to my mind.

I believe we all try to create something different, new, without our tile-rules which we only have written in our heads, but we dislike our maps in the end..

I'm kind of caged in my style. but when I try to do something new or make some interesting concept, I fail. and then I'm repeating my patterns again. well, it's maybe just my low self-esteem. I'll try to do something, guys. maybe. :s

I think that all of us here at NUMA, we have a different styles and reconozible, not only these, you also even. I can recognize a map yours, not see you as the author, and I think I could do it from any NUMA mapper.
No Sunset, frets, wizard, amlt, PALEMOON, deep_blue, 1211, Chrdrenkmann, jasdanu, ChrisE, HeartView, da_guru, remm, me, whoever it is, the list is endless, recognizable styles??
I think so.. ;)
Because when suds try to make something innovative and creative, he does it successfully, so I also encourage you to that!

Those are good map makers, arent they?

Every one of them has their own style, when I see a map I can tell whose map it is without reading the authors name.

Kind of generic, if one does compare it to your other maps. the tiles...the gold placement...those static enemies. I don't want to say it's boring, it's just like...déjà vu. Give us something more creative next time.
