Description i thought it resembled a cave maybe.

i'm not convinced by it, i think it needs more work. too many doors i think.

having made it optional to collect the gold. And when you go for all gold, you have to collect the switches, as well. Very nice. However, some of the gold patterns - the c-snapped ones - aren't as beautiful as x-snapped ones. You have to really do something fresh and new with c-snapped gold for it to work.
Overall, I liked it, though :)

I agree with everything that maxson and aero say. The first part of the map with the gauss functions well and you use them to a great potential. Getting out of that area, the bottom felt a bit dry. The next are, the top, works decently, but I did like the thwump. However, the end didn't mend together well due to the trap and it would be better without it. The map as a whole was well done and gets a three out of five. Keep mapping and draw influence from others. With that being said, welcome to NUMA and enjoy your stay.

i'm not actually new to making maps, and certainly not new to this game, just new to this website.

i put some up here that i thought were in need of improvement, so thanks for the suggestions. this one is definitely in need of a more cohesive theme; i'm on it.

I think this is good for a starting-out map; you've clearly got ideas, and you're not spamming etc. I'd recommend working on making each map more... cohesive, so that it's not like "oh well here's the gauss section and here's the rocket section" etc. Not that that's necessarily bad, but if a map doesn't have a common linking theme, it's just a bunch of sections that don't feel like a whole map, y'know? I think that might just be personal preference though, so maybe you should get other opinions on that. And actually, that's one more thing I'd suggest: if you're going to take advice from people (which would be good!), then try to get a bunch of opinions, and then weed out what you like and don't like. Improvement's good, and people liking your maps is good, but what's most important is that you enjoy your maps. To end this rant of a comment, I think the doors are fine. 3/5

Hey, welcome to NUMA! I don't think that there are too many doors, I think you've justified them with a pretty cool setup/layout. That said, I'm not so sure about the trap door at the end. After beating basically the whole level and having that make you start over again is a little annoying, but it's a good map overall. Nice work, grab a chair and stay a while.
