Description | I remember the days when I joined NUMA in December 2008 and made my first maps which were really bad (for example: 01-0 [nmaps.net]). This must be the reason why my first columns hadn't a lot of ratings. However, I got better and better (except for some crappy maps (another example below) and become more popular.
There was a day where I was really happy, I got my first featured map in December 2009. But... there were also days where I was disappointed. I've decided to leave three times so far. I never did, lol. My gut instinct told me to stay and make more maps. This is the only way to become a notable map maker. Nowadays, the majority of my maps are acceptable. No spam objects, nice tilesets and a good game play. But that's not my limit. The time factor is my main problem. I think I don't spend too much time for my maps. If I would try to put more time into my maps, I could create better tilesets and would find more possibilities for the tilesets. The question is: Effort = Effectiveness? Mh... Anyway! I wouldn't write this long text if I don't have a reason for that. I was afraid when I saw that my last map which I made in under 5 minutes and looked really dumb got 7 ratings (!) and was rated a 4. maxson924 was the only person (and the eight rater) who rated a 2 – rightly. This map could be one of my first maps ever due to its bad aesthetics and game play. (FAIL. [nmaps.net]) I've decided to show you what a REAL new Chrdrenkmann map is. The game play is advanced, the tileset is kind of WTF and I put time into that. Come on, guys! My bullshit map got 8 ratings (!!)... THIS is my new era. |

I hated the floorguard bit
It made getting that gold in the tunnel /really/ fustrating. It could be easily fixed with a small tweak:

In terms of the rest of the map; I prefer it to nevershine's version. Very nice style. I would say that you might be best off making the level more "episodic" (having the difficulty of each little section increase as you work your way to the exit, 'mother thwumping impossible' style), as at the moment after passing the rocket the level became a little to relaxed for me (though I absolutly loved the final gauss section).

it's allright.
aesthetically pleasant, but the gameplay is still a long way from perfect. maybe try to avoid adding aesthetical elements where they affect the gameplay too negatively?

this version plays much more fluid and doesn't look that worse, doesn't it? anyways, this map is for sure among your best. just try to avoid redundant aesthetically edits that spoil the gameplay. :)

1)The tunnel is hard to get into unless standing almost directly beneath it
2)The design of the tiles in that area and the area the floorguard skates along make it very difficult to stand beneath the tunnel entrance for a jump without making the floorguard come to the right, making it impossible to leave the tunnel alive.
3)this puzlly section wouldn't be so bad were it not for the fact that the combination of this section requiring many attempts to enter the tunnel with the chaingun makes the section fustrating rather than challenging.
