Then

how do you giv the map to someone else?
you just give the map to someone, and get them to give opinions on the map and suggest changes. It generally yeilds in better quality maps.

Well...

After you make a map, you should play it before you submit it to make sure that it works well.

what is playtesting????
...however not major, in my opinion. It's pretty obvious that you weren't going for minimalism.

I think that there are a lot of really good ideas in this map, but the excecution is just a little off. The gauss/rocket combo works really well, and the doors are really interesting. My sugestion is to try and get some maps playtested by others (I'd be more than happy to) by leaving the map data on their map with the request. A bit of polish, and you totally have potential to be the next Sneekfeet. :)

yeah man

go for it. I love to see what you get from it. :D

check out my new map Mt. Everest 3

Oh, and

check out cucumber_boy [nmaps.net]'s maps. They are very simple, but also very good.

Okay

A little better. You have gold, and the enemies are not spammed or in a big clump. The doors that separating the enemies with the doors doesn't look or play very well, though. Try to make your map not ever have to do that. You did use slants, but not that interestingly. Make there be many different slants, and maybe form more of a mountain-like shape. You could make a tileset that is something really nice like this [nmaps.net], or, if you can't do that yet, just a simple one like this [nmaps.net].

if u want to see something worse scroll up and click Mt. Everest. It was my first map and i had a little trouble placing tiles.

2/5

The two main parts of a map are the tiles and the objects, and I must say I think this map is lacking both. The tiles could use a little touching up, and someone once told me "Once well-placed guass can do the work of three" meaning that you should try to place you enemies more effectivley. If you are going to make a series out of these, I suggest you put more time into your tiles and the placement of your objects.
