The "function" was lacking; the gausses rendered the end of the map too difficult.

Decent, overall

I personally liked the layout and the challenges, even the trickiness of getting back from the right, but the starting position was annoying (glaringly so). Visually, I agree with flag that the nebulousness of the mines is bothersome. It just doesn't fit with the tileset. However, I didn't have a problem with the gold, which is kind of nebulous too, but not as much because of the groupings. Anyway, overall, I give this a 4/5. If I were just rating your objects, 3/5 (which in my current rating scale means ≈neutral in opinion).

Aren't mines supposed to be constricting? Also, this is an action map, so function is more important than form.

I really wish the mines hadn't been so nebulous and constricting. Carefully formatted mines would have been nicer to look at.

I'd prefer a low rate to no rate at all.

gold was annoying
