not many people that have been here a while really find this all bad (my mistake if you do). I don't really care about whats going on: be it a hack, a joke, or an actual change of the community. I've been here around 15 months, and I'm only still here because the mappers/authors here and IRC are some cool people and playing the game is what truly everyone should feel: a sense of having fun. If you do not have fun while playing a videogame, as I tell my brothers often, then DON'T play it. This includes N and I would have left a long time ago if I wasn't having fun playing the game.
The community is not dying. Grow up. If you feel that it is dying, then visit the forums more, get IRC or Vent, or leave.
I'm interested to see exactly what this is though ;D

The health of more popular websites that go through grueling and ridiculous changes that actually affect functionality does not budge, because their fanbase is strong. NUMA's "fans" are composed of people who hold this inane belief that the website is dying. You can decide what is actually causing some decay on the N User Map Archive: the website itself, or the imbeciles who choose to antagonize it because the dude next to him says it's being destroyed.

At first glance, up to the top may not look all that appealing. However, the cluttered objects and barebones tiles are a good fit for this map, because they're exactly what this map is not about. This is a race map. This is a map you play for the rush of speed, the split-second jumps,the thrills and spills. The chaotic item placement is in fact a perfect match for the frenzied gameplay presented.

These "revamps" are only as "disruptive" as you make them, and you idiots seem to think that every minor prank,(very minor, the functionality of this website has not once been sacrificed) is a direct attack on you and the integrity of this website, of which you apparently think so obtusely low of.

also, just throwing this out there...
this map is better than many I see on NUMA everyday. It deserves at least 2.5, I think. I actually would be satisfied to give this a 4. It has a really cool chill feeling to it that I enjoy.
