The launch pads are meant to represent a strong sort of current, like a riptide, so I liked the unpredictability inherent in them. It may not work in a gameplay sense, but I liked the overall effect too much to change it.

but the launch into the rocket chamber caught me out too many times through sheer unpredictability; especially with the rocket directly below...
