The tileset could look better, that's what they mean.

Compare this to some races of the more experienced race makers (e.g. destiny, da_man) and you'll see that their maps look great and create an atmosphere of a special theme which makes the playing experience even better :]... Your race tilesets are mostly only there for the flow + some little decoration here and there... You should try to improve that^^

what does aesthetics mean?

alot of ppl on my maps tell me my aesthetics needs work on but i don't understand what they mean by it

Now it does work. :]

And a concept map with a good concept can always be better with a good execution...
The flow is still a bit rough, but my two points aren't there anymore.^^

and even if you were only focusing on the mod, you still could've made a good map with good aesthetics and enemies etc.

Your demo doesn't work.

I like how you used the mod, but both aesthetics and flow could've been better...
You've to slow down at the beginning (first jump)(or maybe I didn't do it right :P ) and after that you jump against a wall which partly destroys the flow... That are the two parts I didn't like the most :/...
And the floorguards are pretty poorly placed.

Despite from that it's ok (most of the enemies work well, too), but nothing spectacular. 3
