Description | The NeoN Chronicles: Prelude
Year 2050. The wastelands. For 26 years, the Empire has been at war with the rebel human group called the "Liberation Front". For 26 years, the Empire has failed to eliminate these radicals. You have just been pressed into duty by the L.F., as a scout-recon operative. Objective: Rumors tell that there might be vast reserves of scrap resources in the area. Scour the wastelands for anything that might be of interest. Keep an eye out for the vestigial robots of the Empire, as this used to be a robot-junkyard. Edit: Removed the rocket, hidden enemies and a clump of gold. Added bounceblocks. All suggestions welcome, I'll keep updating this if people find more ideas/problems. |

pretty good, but yeah, you have to use less objects

Stylish beginning.
Worst death ever. I really enjoy this map. As you said, each clump of gold is an individual challenge. While I don't have the stamina to go through more than 4 or 5 in a row, each is fun and I think the level is extremely well built and enjoyable. I'm giving you a 5, and I don't throw those down easy.

Hidden enemies
make for awful gameplay.
This map needs less objects in general. I can imagine it would work best with tidbits of gold here and there, where the real adventure comes from finding out how to get to the gold, rather than having the adventure be about getting the gold.
Less enemies overall (especially the hidden ones), less gold spammage (I realize it's placed nicely but there's far too much of it), use bounceblocks or one-ways to allow easier ways to get around some places, try and keep rocket launchers from being too overbearing (such as in when one is trying to grab the gold just up and to the right of the rocket launcher)...
I think my only favourite parts out of this map was the chaingun section near the top right and the very bottom right part just where you drop underneath to where the floor guard is and jump over him while collecting that wonderfully placed gold along with the door switch.
Be sure to watch out for the things I listed above because they can make your maps more enjoyable overall. :D
Hope that helps!
