I think

you need to stop trying to make conventional maps and just make whatever the fuck you feel like. I had a period of time when I was mapping and i suddenly became disappointed in the maps I was making, so I just decided to make whatever came to mind at the moment.

You may need to just let whatever style you think you're trying to hold on to go and map spontaneously, instead of trying to sit down and create something. Eventually something good will come out of it and you'll discover some new things you never would have thought of before.

Just a suggestion, but I think it would help.

I think the gauss turrets should go.

I get a more relaxed, mine and drone jumper feel from this map.
I was also wondering if you would be interested in doing a little retile map swap..thing. You know what I'm talking about, right?

I went to the editor and took them out, and it was too bland. Please keep it as is; 4/5

Liked the flow you somehow set up here. The drones were alrite, but the tiles and gauss and jumping action stole the show for me.
