I LOVE N-REALITY
plain and simple. the coding is kind of confusing at times but i think its fun! more people should make maps using n-reality, even if it is just an image-map.

nither can I.
unreality, i'll give you a map and a big ol' ded if you can get an areatrigger that is 5 gridspaces out, kinda like a square.
here is the code:

I don't see why mods are so difficult, once you learn the basics, they're pretty easy to figure out. I do see why people want an interface, but they need to remember that one programmer can only do so much in a given timeframe. Besides, someone is already working on a new Ned.
Anyways, cool mods, 5aved.

Yeah, a little too many features.
Slow down and work on the stability, speed, some user interface for putting these new things in.
Quality over quantity.

I think
the only problem with all the new fancy mods and etc is that they might overshine great maps, merely because they contain new mods - But I am against holding back progress, so i am quite positive about the new mods, and i think they are all good and interesting to discover =) And your idea sounds cool Spudzalot : D

TheKitchenSink
and i had a talk outside of the conversation of this map and I'm going to say that although I still have my thoughts below with me, there is also something that says that you're helping out a portion of the community feel good about map making and to me that says a lot.
I can see why you wouldn't want to code a new Ned and I know that i don't realize the amount of work that goes into making new Nreality mods so I'm sorry if I seemed rude in any way.
I do hope that a new addition to Nreality comes out soon though with new features! Maybe not mods so much for me, but a new feature that impacts the way people use N much like the NUMA integration feature did would be awesome.
Can't wait for the Nreality Column Competition to be over so that the column can be finished and the new version of Nreality comes out!

N wasn't about simplicity?
You've lost all credibility for your opinions.

NR.
I agree with southpaw and mintnut. However, I think that doors that can open and close with switches should be added before slowing down the rate of new mods. Of course, that's just me, though.
To me, N is more about the limitations of the existing objects and getting around those limitations than what you can actually do with the objects you have.

@origami_alligator:
Blasphemy. Pure blasphemy.
I'll have you know a large amount of people, myself included, get super excited whenever a new NReality mod gets out. To have him arbitrarily delay that by like six months would be nothing less than a pure travesty in my perspective.
Thus far, Unreality has, for the most part, added tons of AWESOME stuff. There is the rare update that is merely "coolish," but that's the WORST.
I eagerly refresh the NReality forum all the damn time to see if there's a new update. Going six months without one for absolutely no reason other than to "make us savor it" or some bull is absolutely ridiculous.
Good god. Plus, how the hell can *optional additions* drag down N? Explain that to me. It occurs to me that, as mentioned, a huge amount of people *don't* make maps using NReality mods. To me, that is a huge shame. To you, apparently that's great.
N was never about simplicity for me. Sure, it has simple aesthetics, but the lack of enemies and objects and AI and the like just made it seem shallow. Unreality stepped up and made it better in nearly every regard. Unreality, I salute you.

I would probably use a lot of these mods if the coding wasnt such a pain. I just doesnt click with me. I think that is the main reason why many people arent using these.
And I agree with mintnut and southpaw that these have gone a little bit too far.

@Gods_Reaper: Unreality is the creator of these mods, that is how he "gets" them. He created Nreality, a kind of fan-program of N. If you already know about it then I'll save you the trouble of explaining, if you don't comment a map of mine and I'll comment a map of yours back with an explanation.
@mintnut: I am glad to see that some people agree with me, but I don't think that you meant that to sound so harsh. Yes, Nreality is being dragged down a little with each new mod, but they serve their purpose I guess. I do agree that the first comment by Unreality is a little... undeserving.
@Unreality: Then I'd suggest 1 thing and 1 thing only if you're not willing to make a new Ned - create... oh, let's say 10 mods. And play around with these 10 mods for a week or two, tweaking them or changing certain attributes for your own enjoyment to make sure they work exactly how you want them to. Then create 10 more mods and do the same thing for a week or two or until you're satisfied. Then, when you have about 15-20 new mods, release an updated version of Nreality (like v6.0.5 or something... you get the idea) and people will be more excited over what's new.
Also... who cares if it's faster for you to code new mods? I sure as hell don't, I doubt the majority of Nreality users do. Anyway, again, sorry if this seems brash I'm just saying, it's not like people will stop using Nreality just because you aren't making new mods. A lot of us use it, as mintnut said, for the NUMA integration system which is probably one of the best things to ever come out of the whole program and I believe was 1 of the main reasons why you created the program in the first place.
If I were you I'd start focusing more on design and interface upgrades, but that's just me.

Oh! and this sentence makes me furious.
"Please rate this map so that this map stay on top of the page and as a result more people can reach this new mod :)"
What about maps with gameplay which actually deserve to be at the top of the page? Not everyone on here cares about nreality.
