Description | This is a ded map for astheoceansblue, shokwave, and nexx ( he just got that close ) on Compression [nmaps.net]. I tried for an awesome tileset, I can't decide about the map though. I like this map anyways. |

ooh
the tileset is very awesome looking
the gameplay feels a little bit cramped - not always a bad thing but with the drones i really wanted to be able to trick them into firing into the ceiling or the floor to let me collect the switches. the up/down/up pattern (mostly the switches being at the top and bottom and the only entrance to the central area being at the top) got a little bit stale, but overall still a fine map.
i have to say out of all your recent maps i enjoyed compression most - you seem to make fantastic non-symmetrical tilesets and the challenges in those maps are of a higher calibre than what i see in most of your more linear or mirror-imaged maps.
i think this is partly the fault of symmetrical maps in general, they encourage repetition and back-and-forth gameplay aspects, both of which are less than desirable.
its still a good map, i just think that you easily have the potential to make incredible maps. honestly, compression is a flawless map and you can clearly make more maps that are as good as as well as better than that.
