Description N looked up at the imposing mountain before him. The sun was high above, casting a sweltering heat over Mt. Ordeals. "Not like this black clothes helps either," gasped N in disdain. Suddenly, an apparition appeared before him in black garb much like his own.
"Ooh eeh ooh ahh ahh, ting tang, walla walla bing bang...," the figure chanted in a low, monk-like voice. Broken from his reverie, he looked up to see N. Suddenly, the creature leaped over N's head, saying, "If the treasure of N you wish to find, 100 ordeals you must take."
"The only one to complete them am I. Nick, the holy ninja monkey am I. Guide you, I can, but prove your trueness to the ways of N, first, must you." A sparkling path opened in the previously impassible mountain before N, leading straight to the cave. "And so we go," mused N.

Edit: Hope my edits fix lag issues! (Sorry... I have a fast computer.)

Oh,

It's dissonant alright.

Thanks

@ Gwenaith: Thanks, but that was one of my requirements. I wanted for this level to have a... dissonant feel, so that you would play an easy room and then a hard room, or several fast rooms followed by a slow room, etc. But thanks for the advice. I only found out about NUMA a few days ago (even though it's right in the game...) when one of the friends I play with brought in one of formica's levels. I actually made this a while ago, but it was one of my favorites. So I'll see what I can learn, and maybe my next map won't suck as badly.

But I like you so much for listening, you're exempt from my laptop replacement fee.
The map though now playable, isn't great, avoid creating distinct rooms with a set challenge in each, they tend to end up too hard, too laggy, too easy and/or too boring. They rarely make a coherent playing experience. Only answer to that is play more maps by other people, read the comments and learn.
And welcome to NUMA. The pilot is Arachnid and the stewards are Maestro and kkstrong0.

Lag fixed?

Hey guys. Thanx for the heads-up. I have a fast Mac, so this ran at about 40 frames for me. I deleted some of the mine- and enemy-spam, so it should be a tad more possible. It is meant to be hard, though- why do you think they're called ordeals? So good luck to all of you. If there are any more problems, don't hesitate to comment.

Go find that Treasure of N!

seriously if my laptop packs up before it should, I'm demanding payment off everyone who's ever decided to make a map with so many frigging objects.
