I know this isn't the place to post this, but I just posted an all gold demo of another of yahoozy's maps that I'm relatively proud of.

ok, ill elaborate on why i bitesized this map.
1. the tileset is great, and the placement of the objects (gold especially)
2. the gold challenges are great, i like how your maps often are like sendy maps in that they can be quite long and also have the gameplay style where you have to play many times before having much of a chance of completing it because of little gimmicks (thats all i can think of to describe them, but they're gimmicks, in a /good/ way :D)
3. The use of the bottom gauss is the best ive ever seen, it effectively covers nearly all of the bottom section. It's amazing.
4. if i hadn't bitesized it it's likely people such as smort wouldn't of found it. when i found it it was about 3 pages down the newest page.

Yahoozy was heckled more than anyone for a very long time. He earned his popularity, and if people think his very artsy maps are awesome, then let them think that.

I'm not trying to argue anything here.
When I said not bitesize-worthy, I meant in my opinion. I don't want to say that your maps aren't good, they're great - I just sometimes get the feeling that if somebody else posted the same exact map as you, they wouldn't get it sized and you would.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against you as a mapmaker, it's just annoying when people like you get oh so much attention. I'm not trying to be "the only one that's rational" at all. My only point is that you get a lot of attention. End of story.

If they bitesized my maps because they're my maps, wouldn't they all give me fives for the same reason? The community has been through this over and over and over. Bitesizing is completely subjective. You even said it wasn't "bitesize worthy", so I gave you a fucking link to the definition of "subjective". I think you people put popular mapmakers on too high of a pedestal, and then oppose the idea of them being there. You expect that other authors have an automatic liking for them. In return, you try to be the "voice of reason" and pull a You're-Overrated-And-I'm-The-Only-One-That's-Being-Rational.

I didn't say I didn't like the map
or that I would rate down because it was bitesized, or that there was anything bad about 3.5 bitesized maps, I just was pointing out that there are some people who bitesize maps simply because they're yahoozy's. I like this map, the guasses are nice and precise, the tileset is nice.

This is an amazing map. Please stop rating people's maps down because you don't AGREE that it's bitesized. My first ever bitesize was ruined because I had a lot of

...That's because while a public rating is more of a democratic, average view of the map, bitesizing is an individual expression. 3.5 and bitesized maps are surprisingly common, actually, and don't necessarily reflect upon what the collective community thinks of a particular map or author.

not to say that this isn't a good map, it's just not bitesize worthy in my opinion. Yahoozy gets maps bitesized on a whim - he has more 3.5 rated bitesized maps than any other mapmaker. I'll give this a 4.
