It is quite something when space constraints can influence some of the best maps that an author has made. From Jakel's Cramped competition, Pheidippides [nmaps.net] created a simple, fun map with hypnotic drone movement that in turn adds to an addicting gold challenge. Upon replaying...

This map is solid fun, and I enjoyed it just as much (if not more) this second time around. But I have to admit, there's something about it that doesn't quite hit 5 territory. It's not as though there's something about the map I don't like. It's more like the nature of the map somehow limits its awesomeness. It's kind of like how in the olympics, there's a cap on the score that an easy routine can receive (not that I'm saying this was easy, I'm just analogizing). Anyway, 4aved.
