Fingersonthefrets, It's called one's mapping style.

You could look at a LOT of maps from mapmakers, and see that they revolve around a few certain elements. By limiting myself to Gauss' and Drones, I have to be more innovative with the gameplay itself.

As for ratings - don't get your hopes up. Ratings mean absoolutely nothing. I'll switch up my stlye a little because you asked me to - not because you've decided not to rate my maps.

is it only me who thinks basically all your maps have nearly the same

gameplay and are based around gausses and drones..... whatever this one is a really nice one so im gonna giv it 4 but..... look i prob just wont rate your maps anymore
