5000 jump pads is NOT a good idea.
DDA's are usually a lot more thought out than this. You have to remember that there are a lot more forms of propulsion than jump pads, such as:
thwumps
trap doors
normal doors (normal door w/6 pieces of gold)
you can also manipulate types of propulsion by code editing, but I assume that's way beyond your league. Don't worry though.. you'll get there. Take a look at some of the other DDA's on NUMA, they might give you some inspiration.
