Description as you go alone into this dreadful..

"More than any other time in history, mankind faces a crossroads. One path leads to despair and utter hopelessness. The other, to total extinction. Let us pray we have the wisdom to choose correctly." - some important guy

I love conceptual maps. It's always a pleasure to load something fresh and new into Ned and see how it works.
However, conceptual maps often suffer from a lack of an engaging core concept, or just completely fail in the execution of the concept.
"BRING ALONG YOUR HACKSAW" by SkyRay has none of that. The concept has a fantastic execution, with tiles akin to a desolate jungle and dizzying jumps through the branches.
You will need your hacksaw here; it isn't gonna be easy. — Leaff

kinda to hard for me, the first section was overkill

damn.

I completely agree with Whittyboy, lol. When I first read the review, I'm thinking:
"This is definitely not the first time I have heard the 'Great concept, but they usually screw it up somehow' scenario."

Also, honestly, I thought the map did lack polish and the laser drones didn't work well at all PLUS, this 'concept' is by no means new.

Have a 3

I

AGREE WITH BOBAGANUESH

Just feature the damn person. It saves us the time of reading the review, and playing the map. Not that the review is bad, it just tales up my time. And I'm betting someone else's time.

Meh.

There's being a grammar nazi and being a grammar nazi.

@whittyboy

You should have said "'BRING ALONG YOUR HACKSAW' by SkyRay has neither the former nor the latter, but rather boasts fantastic tiles..."

Great idea

We'll have each author choose as many maps as they want to feature and we'll make a list out of it.

Let's call it a favorites list.
we shouldn't have to get a lecture from WhatteverGuy over here attached to every single fucking map that's featured. just play the map and give feedback on it; the review isn't really necessary, imo.

also, this map was incredibly boring.

pretty cool

i like it.

Oh.

Saying "and" twice or more in the same sentence is generally bad. Avoidable, use a comma and power of three if necessary.

Uhhh...

Evil Sire.

Yep.

Three times. Impressive if I do say so myself. But no, do not make me a reviewer (I'll probably get banned in a couple of days anyway).

WHITTYBOY,

who are you?

bad review

good map

lol whitty boy, there's not agreeing with the feature/review, than there's drama-queen-spazzing
The concept's good, but overdone. You're getting showered with features

Oh God

Don't ever let him become a reviewer again, please.

lol

he has already been a reviewer. *waves*
fantastic map though, and an excellent choice

Brilliant.

3 features over a month. 0_o

Learn to be more original. You said execution twice in three sentences. Conceptual, twice in two sentences.

So, you repeat concept, three times, repeat execution, and fail to use punctuation to spice it up.

You start the review with a line "I love conceptual maps." Boring, you know how many reviews do that? On top of that, you could have used a semi-colon to work it into the next sentence "I love conceptual maps; it's always a pleasure to load something new and fresh into the editor and watch it unravel."

That isn't too bad, you can make something work from that. PARAGRAPH.

Never start a sentence with however! Doesn't work. You could say: "Drastically, these maps often suffer from failing to maintain an engaging core concept, or falling short in the execution." That is good, you're not repeating it and it sounds good. Saying something "completely fails" is a horrible stereotype.

"BRING ALONG YOUR HACKSAW" by SkyRay has neither the former or the latter, it boasts fantastic tiles resembling a desolate jungle with dizzying jumps through the swaying branches!" The exclamation spices it up, the adjective "swaying" adds a new sense to it.

Last line is a bit of a cliché. "It isn't gonna be easy" is just about one of the most generic phrases ever. You can change that a bit, and you're left with:

"I adore conceptual maps, it's always a pleasure to load something fresh into the editor and watch it unravel.

Drastically, these maps often suffer from failing to maintain an engaging core concept, or falling short in the execution.

BRING ALONG YOUR HACKSAW" by SkyRay possesses neither the former or the latter, it boasts fantastic tiles resembling a desolate jungle with dizzying jumps through the swaying branches!

You'll need your hacksaw; it ain't gonna be easy."

Which is much better!

PS: Yes I'm really bored.

Pretty cool

3 features in just over a month is some achievement, too :)
