I map for gameplay. I usually make a route, map around it, and then make a few others.

I've adopted this tileset style, because pretty much it' just how I do it. The reversing lines and stuff and the sharing a single pixel, all of my tiles and maps are based around that.

Basicly, I don't really care how it looks, I map for gameplay.

Meh.

Lagging. I'll make a right later.
They don't really form any coherent shape altogether, which means they look quite horrible most of the time. Also, it just leads to a series of demented tunnel-like areas of gameplay that really aren't interesting or coherent as a whole either. It's like going through a lumpy, linear maze. Maybe open things up a bit and use all of the map's space altogether.
