Map Data

Description It's just common sense to think that if you have a style you like, you stick with it. It's common sense to think that 1/5 of the authors on NUMA are N00bish. It's not common sense to think that I would make a map with many different paths. That, is different.

That, Riobe

is because you have no real grasp of the value of ratings. It's probably one of the main aspects holding your own progression back as an author.

If you actually think most of your maps are Above Average (3) or Very Good (4), then you're not truly aware of what makes a map these things in the first place, you're unlikely to improve and your voting of other's maps will follow the same flaw.

Next to the best authors on this site, your maps are decidedly below average. Forgive me if this seems patronizing, and it's a little arrogant perhaps, but I've three years experience here as a very succesful author and I reckon my comments could help you progress in general.

lol

That's a good way to see it, and it may be true for others. But get this straight: Not for me.

Gah meta_ing

I never meant you, I was harassing RadiumFalcon. But 'rounding up' a 4.5 to a 5 is bullshit. There is no such thing as a 4.5 anymore, get over it. This isn't perfect, and the same goes for about 99% of maps submitted at the moment. Just because everyone else is throwing 5's around is no reason to join the bandwagon, ratings were never implemented as a way for people to hand out to each other. From where I'm stood, it basically looks as though you all go around 5ing each others maps purely to get on good terms with each other, so noone will rate your maps down. Strap on a pair. You've turned a subjective way of gauging quality into some pointless homoerotic ego boosting ritual.

Personally

I don't think any of my maps are five worthy. I think all of them are 3-4 worthy.
It was actually a 4.5 from me (rounded up). A "flawless" map is very hard to find.
and demenstrates the finest ability that NUMA has to offer, then a 5/5 is perfect.

I very much doubt you people put in that much consideration before you pat each others backs, however.

Well

Different people have different opinions...

I, in this case, liked the multipathness, the flow, the replayability, the general aesthetics and trying to find an AGD route, which is my reason for a 5... I'm sure others have their reasons as well.

Dear Christ

How can it be 5/5 and all not his best map? Pretty boring and generic still.

good.

better flow than the others; a well-done multipath.
4.5/5, we'll round down.

Does such a thing

as an AGD route exist on this? I've been trying to find one for a while but I don't want to keep wasting my time.

5/5.

4/5

I like the multipath-concept
nice work
4/5 The routes were good I just think some more playtesting would have made it perfect.
