This is how episodic mapping is done. Baraba's recent string of episodic maps have really struck a chord with me, in being perfectly uncomplicated while providing a high level of stimulation. The concept here is just cool. Cool on another level to cyborg skull tilesets, or 12-way KRADDAs. I will always love a map in which its author has precisely crafted a mechanism to produce some specific, unusual and thrilling way of moving. It's this sort of thing which keeps me playing n. "hard left", try it. — krusch

Little things,
like the run down to the bottom where your ninja hits /just/ the right places to avoid death, could be considered in many maps to be a fluke in the build.
Baraba's maps are too consistently nuanced like this, the obvious care is obvious.
It's a lovely example of an episodic map, and for that reason the feature is sound.

Oh!
I hadn't actually tried the "hard left" until just now.
That's so cool. I love invisible qualities in maps like that.

Oooh. Nice map.
This is staggeringly annoyingly precise, for all gold, sunset: http://www.nmaps.net/208580
I like this a lot. I think what I like most about your maps is that you use everything as an obstacle; instead of just creating an acceptable and straightforward route your maps tend to challenge my judgement of things like that.

fun going down
but annoyingly precise collecting gold going back up, but then again, that's sort of the idea.
Some of the tiles which are purely for looks actually make the jumps harder (ie: that indent by the bottom gold) which I really don't like
