That most new users generally emulate people like you.

I've seen maps that look the same from a stylistic perspective from a great deal of "newer" users.

Do you mean that new mappers try to copy styles of me, sunset and "some others"? Or that our styles are getting similar?

I would actually try to make a few maps and keep them to yourself.

And submit the ones you find good. You will figure it out yourself. Also, I've noticed a style rising up that is frequently copied and repeated by newer members. (sunset, lsudny, some others...), so a new person does bring the promise of some variance.
