Strolling through the mountains is no easy feat. As you reach the summit, where fires have burnt out the hilltop cottages, you are bound to stumble across some kind of giant. The giant that rests in these lofty peaks is a mighty one indeed, and approaching it will almost certainly result in a multitude of rockets being fired towards you. Yes, you probably will die, however, should you travel swiftly and avoid these projectiles, should you take shelter in the ruined cottages only when necessary, and deftly leap from roof to roof; only then may you successfully tame the giant. — squibbles

I would argue that

merely playing a survival, you have beated it, as the point is surviving, and you have for some time, at least, succeded in that goal.

Sure, you may not have don't it as well as others, but it's still been done.

Also, this map is absolutely an action.
Survival maps cannot be beaten.

Action maps can be beaten.

Therein lies the difference. They are relatively unrelated.
I was really looking forward to completing my demo by reaching the door. That's not fun.

I wanted the huge amount for the intimidation, shock and fear. The map is about taming the giant, beating brute force with intelligence. Grouping them up isn't a trivial matter, and if they didn't group it would be too hard.

not overkill at all

just bad placement. once they grouped up, they became real easy
