Map Data

Description The third in a collection of ten maps, entitled "Abductions & Reconstructions".

To be honest, as immodest as it sounds, I really, really like this map.

I set out with two few basic ideas;
1) I wanted some sort of mechanics to force the player to use tiles in the lower part of the map to break their fall from the higher sections.
2) I wanted to keep the playing area as open and rapidly traversable as possible.

I feel like I fulfilled that pretty well and everything else just seemed to fall into place. Essentially, I'm really happy with how this one turned out.

Comments always appreciated.

Thanks!

I like the fact you found it unique, as in the past I've been accused of making the same sort of map over and over again.

Very cool.

I've never seen a map quite like this. It was challenging and innovative, although somewhat repetive. And a teeny bit bland.

Have played about with it a bit to try and make it a bit more fun. Changing the gauss to a rocket has actually done wonders for the level in my opinion. Have also changed some other small details here and there. If you still want to play the original, I've got the data for that, so just PM me on the forums or something.

Heh,

I kind of liked this map a lot because of all those reasons you stated... Comes down to taste I guess.
get round to making the others in the series.

The level looks great, but lacks depth. Having to rely on the the thwumps to bring you up to the upper area made for boring, bland gameplay. I did like having to use the lower tiles to break my fall, but collecting the gold with only a gauss there as a threat wasn't particularly thrilling. 3/5.

Good, if bland gameplay. 3
Relisted, my bad.

AGD is possible,

in roughly 1750, for reference.
