You only have one map, and it doesn't look very good at all IMO >_>

So not sure how well that's working out for you.
I usually make a new pattern, delete next to all of it, muck around with gold/mines/blocks/enemies. Then add in more tiles and repeat.

The problem with that method applied to me, romaniac, is that I don't have an idea in the first place. :P

how I make my maps

is to have some idea of something I want in my map, sketch it out with E tiles, then work around the map adding tiles and objects as I want them
Usually, you'll notice I'll try to change things up a bit from time to time.
That's why I did the Micro series. :D

The tilsets were hardly an issue most of the time, and that's by far the hardest part for me. I just make a tileset out of the blue and make objects as fitting as possible, usually.

Sometimes I just do the tileset, though :P
